Default Israel vs. Palestine

I understand that neither side could agree to this match for so many different reasons, but how awesome would it be. Think about it, they play in some neutral site, a few thousand fans each, separated by a few hundred thousand cops. Each player would be trying so hard not to lose, it would be so tense.
Seriously, who wouldn't want to watch this match ? People who don't know the rules of soccer would be tuning in. They could broadcast the match on CNN (half-joking.)
In fact, they could make a whole series of matches between nations who despise each other.

An idealist...

Why not except finding Palestinians willing to play Israel. Can you play a team you don't recognze, discounting goals because the other team doesn't exist?

A youth team consisting of Palestinian and Israeli youth participated at the Dallas Cup back in April. They sucked, but it was a a step in the right direction.

I'm assuming you meant accept not except.
The truth is getting the players on the Palestinian team to play wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem as the pressure that would be put on them by all the Arab "governments" ( sorry I had to.)
The players on the Palestine national team mainly come from South American countries (mostly Uruguay) and are acquitting themselves quite respectably in spite of having no home field advantage.

Yes, accept. My spelling fails me late in the day. My point was what you said, that the Israeli - Palestinian match may not go over well in some of the enighboring nations as Israel is the enemy to most of the nations either tacitly or fully expressed.

Would be nice though. Have to imagine Israel would win.

They would certainly be favorites, but they are a team that plays up or down to the competition. in euro 2004 Qualifiying, they played a tough match against France in Italy ( you read that right) and lost 2-1. but they're the same team that struggled twice against noted European powers Malta and actually drew with them once.

I like very much Israel, and I really would like to play in Israel.
There is one person that can give me one information?
I wait for one answer
With respect

According to his profile he is 26. I imagine an agent does this type of work. In lieu of an agent, I am guess Kappa or KYHS knows where to start, tryouts, etc. As in the US, I am guessing there are lower leagues that would be easier for Aharon to make the team.

Good luck, man. Live the dream for all us hacks!

If You want I can send You my soccer cv, if You give me one e-mail address.
I played in semi pro, and some experiences in pro. I am 25 years old this year.
but I am becoming good in these lasts two years, after university, when I made masters post degree.
there are two Fifa agents that contacted me, for other solution, like Portugal, Switzerland, Egypt, Qatar, Austria, Italy B, but sincerely I would like to see something more.
I saw south america soccer (football), Russian, Asia, Australia, (I refused bad proposals from many places like Brazil or Ireland, or Norway, because the condition was bad) and in some places of Europe, but my dream was always to play in Israel.
I tryed to have contact, but three years I did not found.
About USA, there are 5 Clubs of A League that invited me for tests, but I was in Australia. I remember name like Charleston Battery, and others. three of MLS ask me to send informations and documents, like San Josè Earthquates, Vancouver whitecaps, and others. Years ago 5 of Indoor league required details, like San Diego, Cleveland Force, and others.
About Israel any persons of soccer that I asked know anything.
I lose time, I did not accept many things, trying to have contact in Israel, trying to call, spending money for nothing.
Any give me one possibility.
One person Raphale Barki, told me one number of Hapoel Kfar Saba, but was of one person that probably speak only Hebrew language and I was not able to have conversation.
Man of Federation, fifa agents that I asked from Italy, Germany, and Austria, did not have contact with Israel Clubs. So is really difficult.
I asked organizations, autorithy, Rabbi, Embassy, Consulate, but these do not work about soccer.
Other contact that I obtein in Europe was Ido Barziloy, leader of Hapoel fans, but was not possible to comunicate.
All the e-mail address of clubs that I found are simple fans.
the other was not correct and the message returned.
I wrote to Mr Kappa18 as You and Your correspondent wrote, and he told me to wait for KYHS, but he did not present from the 13 of June.
I found this site in 6 of June I wrote to him on 10 and he told me to send a private message, but the site did not accept, because I was new.
So I asked for a e-mail address, but he did not return in the site.
I am thinking to abandone I three years, first to finished the University and the masters Post degree that I am trying one contact in Israel, but I understand that is impossible. Probably I do not merit this possibility.
I will wait one other week, and then I will finished to ask, to telephone, to write, if is impossible to have one possibility in Israel.
I USA I am sure that is possible have one contact, because there is not the problem of the Hebrew language. In Europe is really difficult find a insititute for study Hebrew language. In USA, probably is more simple.
All the best for You, for Israel and for USA,
and excuse me for my long message.

Default Re: Israel vs. Palestine

Im not sure if a Israel vs. Palestine match would go nicely.

In the 90's, Lazio (i think) hosted a peace game, which had Israeli players and Palestinain players. Baggio was on the Israeli team and a couple of players were on the Palestinain team...

To have a friendly match between Israel and Palestine is a long way ahead of us. we should first have a game between Jordan or Egypt, but cold peace has its price.

Either way, i don't think this is a really sporty topic. More political, and i think its good for ther political forum....

I wish i can edit this, but im not Mod and KYHS is nowhere to be seen.... as usuall
