Crew/Seattle 10/3/9 [R]
i am truly saddened by this event. i did not get to see the game so i'm not sure how well the crew played. but after following the score on the web, i feel compelled to declare that sigi schmidt has committed a betrayal of brian mcbride proportions.
just venting. GO CREW! mls cup is still ours!

Re: Post-match: Columbus X Seattle [R]
Total frustration. Yeah I know, we're in the playoffs, but pardon my desire, I want that Shield!!
Burns had a horrible match, killing the offense. He seemed too slow, and his passing wasn't crisp, although he made one good through pass on the ground. Salazar is Salazar, the love-child of Brian Hall, ego and all. I have no words for the PK Miss. Hesmer should have handled that ball better on the Seattle goal. Moreno gives haters more fodder with his Olympique trials. I know he gets hacked plenty but damn dude, play like you have a sack like the old-school forwards used to and shuck them off! The league now knows he's going to go to ground.
The only positive I can think of is the scarf tifo display. That was BOSS! Well, time for the Massive to become road warriors.

Re: Post-match: Columbus X Seattle [R]
Why did RW leave Rogers in so long? He needs to sit the last three games until he learns how to put in a decent cross. Frankie could have done alot better and that is saying alot!
Kevin Burns starting? The guy held his own but give me a break. We have Moffat and Ekpo on the bench?
In that physical of a match Lenhart should have started.
We need someone who will get stuck in on these hack teams. A good red card never hurt anyone. (Just kididng.) But someone has to send a message. Put Iro out there and tell him to run over anyone in his way. The ref wasn't going to call a straight game anyhow.
Abysmal officiating. I thought Jair Marufo somehow snuck in to the game. Was that a Freddie Montero jersey I saw sticking out of his back pocket?
MLS is a joke. I love the Crew, but the league is a joke.

Ug. Chicago and DC hand it to us and we turn in that crap.
To add insult to injury, Seattle traveling support decides to take over Section 124 on their gold cards making the night even less pleasant.

Robbie Rogers is where promising sequences go to die.
How the hell do you come back from a championship winning season with LESS confidence?!?!?
Because he sure as hell knows the answer.
Rant over.
On a brighter note- Kevin Burns acquitted himself pretty well tonight for a first league start. He has a good range of passing and he doesn't mind getting stuck in.

We "embellish fouls" WAY too much. The referees have gotten the memo. We're going to find the officiating on the skeptical side from here on out.

I don't know what was more disgusting, Rodney Rodgers play or the officiating. I can't wait to see his fanboy's defense. Something along the lines of he was trying really hard and the players around him don't realize how good he is.
