Every Major tournament in recent tends to produce an England player who's a Hero and an England player who's a Villan.

For Example;

Euro 96; Hero: Gazza Villain: Southgate.
France 98; Hero: Owen Villain: Beckham.
Euro 2000; Hero: Shearer Villain: Phill Neville.
Japan/Korea 2002; Hero: Beckham Villain: Seaman.

So it's safe to say for Euro 2004 (so far);

Hero: Rooney Villain: Gerrard.

I dont really hold Gerrard responsible for much of anything. To be honest he has half a second to react, only really had one option (the back pass), unfortunatly he miss hit it and the rest is history, but these things happen.

Me I blame Heskey, simply because he cocks up with such consistency that its impossible to defend him

I think the problem was Heskey's position ,ie on the plane, yep, that's where the mistake was.

Hesky is a lot like a man at a lesbian orgy. Neither can score in the box.

Then Ashley Cole blamed Scholes. And then Scholes blamed Sven. And then Sven blamed the Pope. And then the Pope blamed Gerard Houllier.
