Just saying.....a big soccer head count will be short.

Cool dude. Hope to see you and other BS folks there. BTW - you now get a free ticket and a free beer if you pay the $15 cover. That's a great deal to me!
Details courtesy of DirtyDefender:
It is now confirmed:
What: US v Honduras Closed Circuit Viewing Location
Where: The OCP - Across from the HDC, behind the KFC
When: Saturday October 10 @ 7:00 PM
This is by far the cheapest place you will be able to watch the US v Honduras game in LA. Other places, such as La Cieba in Long Beach are planning on charging $40. The OCP will only be charging $15.
But that's not all!
Each person who pays the entrance fee will be given a Free ticket to next LA Galaxy home game Saturday October 24th against the Galaxy's old rival the San Jose Smurfquakes.
But wait, there's more!
Each person will get 1 free Beer!
That's one Free ticket, valued at $25 + 1 Free Beer a $5 value + You get to watch the US v Honduras at the ONLY place in LA that will be showing the game broadcast in English.

I am going for sure. That sounds like a great deal. I will also try to bring anyone I know so they can get some tickets for the SJ game.
Edit****
BTW I'm in LARS and counted on the boards. Don't count me on here.

Definately going. I know this has been mentioned at nauseum, but the fact that this game isnt available anywhere outside of closed circuit tv it BS. Who benefits from this???

The company that owns the US broadcast rights, which apparently got more this way than any network was willing to pay.
And, of course [Archer] Jack Warner [/Archer].

Re: NGR: US v. Honduras WCQ 10/10/09 [R]
Never mind the OCP bar being the only show in town for the national team match, surely patronage of this bar for soccer watch party's should be mandatory for the lads, am i missing something or is the OCP the only TRUE Galaxy fans bar in the entire world.

While I despise Jack Warner as much as the next guy (and the next guy REALLY despises Jack Warner), can't lay this one at his feet. As I understand it, the local federation owns the broadcast rights to home field games. So, it was the Honduras football association that sold this game to the CCTV purveyor. The CCTV guy apparently outbid any other broadcaster -- which is a sad commentary on the value of (non-MFL) soccer broadcasts in the U.S.
