I would have voted Romario (he scored goals by day and went clubbing by night; that's pretty pure. ), so I picked other.
I also quibble about including Baggio and Van Basten, both of whom did so much more than just score.

I voted for Baggio, but in the future, I think Henry will be up there.

Re: Best Pure Striker in the post 70's era
I think Henry at least deserves a spot in this poll. He's won a World Cup, Premiership title, he's a great striker.

Van Basten, he'd score blindfolded.

Van Basten or Baggio.
Definitly Van Basten if his career didn't end so early.

Re: Best Pure Striker in the post 70's era
What do you mean by pure?
Natural goalscorer or all-round game?
I think Bergkamps deserves to be up there..

I wouldn't have put Baggio down as a 'pure' striker.
What about Papin? He had some class in hia boots.

Re: Best Pure Striker in the post 70's era
How did Shevchenko get on that list??? I know he is a very good striker, but one of the best since the 80's??? I don't think he rates in my top 5 current strikers anyway.
