Points are not MLS points nor MFLS points but a measure of week-to-week "impressiveness" compared to his peers at his position. These points also are an integrated quantity, not normalized per week. A consistently impressive player would score 2 pts every week and would be close to 40 points by this time.
The premise here is that what really matters for a fantasy manager is what players do in a particular week. So the best possible lineup is identified for each week. To come up with some integrated measure to figure out who is best over the course of the season, I devised the overall rating system.
Of course, the fantasy manager has other things to worry about like player cost and how that player does in those weeks when he is not "impressive", which aren't accounted for in my measure.
