Benfica face Ukranian Cup winners FC Vorskla Poltava in the play for for the Liga Europa (formerly known as Uefa Cup) on Thursday, August 20th at 2:45 est. at the beautiful Estadio da Luz.

Defesas: Shaffer, Luisão, David Luiz e Sidnei.

Médios: Rúben Amorim, Javi Garcia, Ramires, Pablo Aimar, Fábio Coentrão, Di María, César Peixoto e Yebda.

Avançados: Cardozo, Keirrison, Weldon, Nuno Gomes e Saviola.

Benfica tend to underestimate their opponents so this game wont be as easy as some of you think...Ukranian opponents are always tough on Benfica at the Luz. It happened last year against mentalist, but i dont get the same feeling this year since the philpsophy is different, but we will see.

I can see a grind it out match today. If Benfica doesn't get that first goal in the 1st half, there's no telling what will happen. 2-0 Benfica

Ukranians usually play hard, physical futebol so expect a lot of fouls. Won't be easy, but we need to enter the game with confidence.

Ramres is reported to not be in the best physical condition so Coentrao might start over him.

Only 35,000 fans expected for the game, then again thats a lot for a Thursday agianst an unknown team.

Thats the exact scoreline I want/predict but we know very little about this team other than they beat Shakhtar in the Ukranian Cup final last season so who knows what'll happen. They are in13th place in Ukranian league with 5 points so Im not to worried.
