It was in Azteca, ref was afraid. We're lucky Benny didn't get a red.

That photo makes it seem much worse than it was. Benny was doing a bit of acting and it only lasted a fraction of a second. I still think it's a red. It was worse than most of those "heatbutts" that get players sent off.

Nery Castillo gets a red, Benny gets a red, Torrado gets a red. We're up a man. But I completely agree that we're lucky not to have been down a man as a result.

Yeah, but a red card against a Mexican player in that game would have meant that thousands of fans would have instantly leaped on the field, rushed the ref, and tore him limb from limb, right? Better off to just to keep quiet and not risk a guaranteed immediate death by dismemberment?

Maybe the ref could have rode around the field in the Popemobile?

I don't think they've invented a urine-proof Popemobile yet, though I heard GM is looking into it to market to the Puebla region.

True, the funny thing about the picture was how Nery Castillo was trying to pull Torrado back, Nery Castillo, the guy subbed in to try and start a fight with everybody near the end of the match, thinks even Torrado went too far.

My favorite part of this photo is the ref. It actually looks like he is trying to pry Torrado's hands off of Benny's neck. Serious enough to intervene, but not serious enough for a red at Aztecaca.

That wasn't Castillo pulling him off, it was Juarez mainly.

And who was it that tried to pick Charlie Davies up by the head that precipitated all that to begin with? That guy should have been tossed too.
