Default Pasl 2009-2010

If you go to the PASL site and click on standings, it shows only 11 teams for 2009-10. No Colorado Cavaliers, no Mockingbird, no Tacoma, Wentachee is on there....which is hard to believe. Is this just a work in progress or is 11 the final line-up?

Also I just noticed something. The Waza ended up 7-9 last year. 16 games total, 5 against Cincy, 5 against non PASL-Pro teams. Kinda hard to sell tickets when your schedule contains rec teams some of the time and the same team 5 times.

But none of these shenanigans this year right??? right??? Um......

Work in progress.

Detroit didn't get any breaks with 5 games against Cincinnati, but they had 4 scheduled games against Springfield (one of the top PASL-Premier teams) and West Virginia (not as competitive.

The only non-scheduled game was the Windsor game.

They were also transitioning from being an amateur team.

There will be as many as four "provisional teams" on the schedule. These are teams that will play a partial schedule and are likely to join full-time in 2010-11.

Will each of the pro teams play an equal number of games vs. provisional teams, or will it be like last year when only east division teams played played provisional teams (at least in the games that were not rescheduled last minute)? I am assuming that the provisional games will count in the standings like last year?

Do you know who any of this year's provisional teams will be?

Louisville and Tacoma are rumored expansion teams, but certainly have not been confirmed by anyone yet....

The PASL website did confirm the new Colorado team from the owner's meeting in June. Syd did say they were changing their name. However, I do not know why San Diego is listed in the standings and they are not.

I don't get the impression the standings are a confirmed list of teams.
Syd, as teams get confirmed will they be added to the following link?
http://www.arenaleague.com/pro/2008teams/index_E.html

I would assume there will be press releases when teams are confirmed, but it would also be nice to have a running tally somewhere.

It would also be nice to have the provisional teams grouped separately, or least shown in different font or have an asterisk next to them, or something. That seemed to confuse some people last year.

The teams I did so far should all be at that link. I'm not sure why there aren't or why the links says "2008 teams". Maybe I just deleted last year's list.

Anyway I wish I could list the provisional teams separately or even not at all, but Demopshere is set up in a way that I have to do it the way I did last year.

I'm going to do press releases for all the new teams.

So you don't want to list the provisional teams, but they count in the standings? That, and the venues that most teams play in, above all make your league "cheap" and "UN-professional" IMHO.

But it also made me list "Exhibition TBA" and "Open Cup" as teams in the standings so it was more clutter than necessary.

The WISL played games against international teams that counted in the standings, but Brazil and Mexico did not appear in the standings and were not eligible to participate in the postseason.

The old I-League used to list the "Limited Schedule" teams as a group in the standings. If the game counts for one team then the other team and their record should be included in this format.

I hate it when the total number of wins does not equal the total number of losses when looking at final standings.
