Some help please?
Hello guys. First time poster but I have been a long time lurker. I didn't know Hattrick had a board on this site so I'm glad I have recently found it. I joined Hattrick around the middle of March and really had no idea what I was getting myself into. After two months of play my team's performance has been dismal. My team is Tartarus United (226279) and I am currently in the Chicago region V.62. I am in 8th place and I haven't scored a goal in over a month. My only win was a 5-0 walkover over a team that did not have enough players. Here is my current situation.
I am at $204,492 currently but I'm poised to lose over $21,000 this week. My sponsors are satisfied but my supporters are irritated. My staff includes 2 Goalkeeping coaches, 4 assistant coaches, 1 psychologist, 1 spokesperson, 1 economist, 1 physiotherapist, and 1 doctor. I currently invest $20,000 into my youth squad. I am really confused on how to organize my team. Like I said I'm new to the game and trying to learn how to navigate my way around it. So any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm willing to get slaughtered in friendlies. Thanks.

Spend some of that money. You haven't bought anyone. You need to establish a training regimine... it's a little late but you can probably get some 17 year olds right now for fairly cheap... only problem will be the trainees will be 18 in six weeks or so.
But yeah don't worry about spending a little money... you have to in order to make a little money.
Establish a training regimine!!!

Re: Some help please?
There's also a lot of good advice on the "Advice for newbies" thread. Don't worry about not winning your games now. Hattrick is a game that seems to reward effort and patience. I've been playing since January (1 and 1/2 seasons) and I don't expect to go above .500 until next year.

Re: Some help please?
All of my starting advice is summarized in a post in the "Advice to newbies" thread.
On your staff:
* Fire the economist, you're wasting money on him as he's not earning you enough interest.
* Don't keep a doctor on staff if you don't have any injuries.
* Consider dropping the psychologist if your team confidence is OK.
* Hire at least a couple more spokespersons, and after the sponsor mood reset in the offseason, hire as many (up to ten) as you think you can afford.
* Consider reducing your youth squad funding to $10k/week or eliminating it altogether if you need that money to stay afloat.
