Leeds United have drawn against Ukrainian side FC Metalurh Zaporizhzhya in the First Round of the UEFA Cup.
The first leg will be played on Thursday 19 September at Elland Road and the second leg is Thursday 3 October 2002.
The Ukrainian side were formed in 1935, originally being called 'Stal' from the Zaporozhstal factory where they were based, but changed to Metalurh in 1950.
They play at the 27,000 capacity Metalurh Stadium and are coached by Oleg Taran, while they currently stand 13th in the Ukrainian Premier Division, with only one win and two draws from their opening seven matches.
Terry Venables admitted that it would be very much a trip into the unknown for United when they travel to Ukraine, having never visited to the country and, at this stage, knowing nothing about his UEFA Cup opponents.
"There's not much you can say about them, but we will have them watched," said Terry.
"Once it comes around we will treat it very seriously without a doubt, but at the moment we haven't got that situation and I just have to concentrate on the next game.
"We'll gather our information on them and prepare for them in due course."
Venables last enjoyed success in Europe with Tottenham, winning the European Cup Winners Cup on penalties in 1991-92, and then as Director of Football with Peter Shreeves as team manager, saw Spurs through to the quarter finals the following season.
