Default Rovers Track Norwegian

I'm not sure if new blood in Blackburn's midfield will help much. The quesiton is, how it all comes together. And with Barry back next year, I think it will all work a lot better.

Morten Gamst Pedersen really is a huge talent.. Good at both working defense and scoring goals.. Got a killer leg at free kicks..

Have clubs like Blackburn, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Rosenborg and Manchester United interested in him...

Merci. Sounds like he could be more than some cheap cover the midfield.

From sportinglife.com

Tromso have rejected a bid from Blackburn for Norwegian starlet Morten Gamst Pedersen.

The 22-year-old winger is one of the hottest properties in European football and has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks.

Rovers boss Graeme Souness has watched the youngster several times and said last week that Pedersen "possesses great qualities, scores goals and is very talented".

At that stage the Scot refused to say if he would pursue his interest in the player, but the Norwegian side have now confirmed they have rejected a faxed offer from Ewood Park.

On Friday Rovers' chief executive John Williams told his club's official website, www.rovers.co.uk: "Pedersen is obviously a player who has interested us - so to have our offer rejected is disappointing."

Well.. Tromsų can't offord to keep Pedersen if they get higher bids.. They are kind of a small club.. and it's just a matter of time on how long they can offord to keep Pedersen...
