Mandaric wants Pompey to go to "the next stage"
Looks like the chairman might want to spend a fair amount of money this summer. Also surprising is to hear that he may only be with the club another two years. I shudder to think who might take over when he's gone. He says he doesn't want to think about qualification for Europe yet. I maintain that if the team hadn't been virtually destroyed by injuries this season we would have definitely finished top ten and could have fought for a UEFA cup spot. Just look at our current form, with a full squad. The chairman has to make absolutely certain that we retain Yak, Lua Lua, Smertin and Stefanovic. In my view they've been the most important players for the past 2 months. Keeping them and plugging in a few holes with some GOOD players should be enough to ensure that we can aim at at least a top 10 finish next season.

Shooting for a top ten finish will be a hell of a lot more fun than fighting relegation!
