Goodbye Leeds
just wanna express my sheer delight the fact Leeds AFC have been relegated. we all have teams that we dont like and mine happens to be Leeds UTD.
why?
for two, maybe three reasons....
1) they have the most obnoxious / loutish supporters in britain
2) they are a tuppeny ha'penny outfit
and...
3) in 1990 when i lived in leeds (their promotion days; vinnie jones etc)
i had a girlfriend who took the piss big (and i mean BIG) style when they beat us 5-2 at elland road in the 1990-91 season
but 'ha ha' luv . . .
we set that straight by caning ya asses in the 96 CC final
Leeds United was/is probably the most inevitiable premiership disaster story of the last few years (even beating middlesboroughs relegation in 96). the fact they had a gambler (Risdale) for a chairman makes no difference - as i said they are tuppeny happeny - any other club would not sack a manager who gets you to your most elevated premier position ever and within a match of the champions league final
and where is that man now??
and what of Paul Robinson? bet you wish ud come to the villa now huh chump?
aint it sweet ?!
and ill be damned if i ever go back to leeds again
CYA
if you disagree with point #1 i dare you to wear ANY other non leeds football top on a saturday afternoon in leeds city center

Re: Goodbye Leeds
As much as I dislike Leeds, I just can't laugh about it...what the club got itself into this mess and decided to drag it's fans down with them. Very sad.

Well, it's not true...look at Chelsea supporters.
Not to say that I like Leed's fans or anything...

There's no Schadenfreude like Aston Villa Schadenfreude.
Can you say "Ipswich"?

That is true! I lived in Leeds for a few years, and there is a hardcore group of supporters who are utter c****, the rest are just occasional c****.

Re: Goodbye Leeds
With hindsight, sacking O'Leary was a mentalist thing to do.
Ridsdale must've known that without success/money the club were in terrible danger, but sacking O'Leary and replacing him with Venables was retarded.
A club with financial difficulties is associated with Venners. Now where have i heard that one before?
As soon as O'Leary went, everything the club did smacked of desperation. The managerial roundabout, which culminates in a manager with no coaching qualifications. The huge financial losses taken on player sales (barring Rio of course). Keano cost £12m, and was sold for £4 (I know the press said £7m, they're wrong). The twatty loan signings...a bunch of show ponies. Has there ever been a worse loan signing than Roque Junior? How many goals did Leeds ship when he was in the team?
Its been a catalogue of spaz for a few years now. I thank God Spurs didn't rush a managerial appointment through. Although with David Bleat in charge we could've gone too.
Crap.
Can we still have Paul Robinson on the cheap?
