Thumbs up the english are coming

Greetings fellow forest fans thought i would drop you all a line i will be coming on forest's pre season tour and i never actually knew that there was so many forest fans in the states.
It would be really good if any of you are going to the matches that we could meet up.
I was reading a D.C united message board and they was saying how they can out sing any of the fans that the teams over there have, well as i have said in the title "the english are coming" then we will see who can out sing who.

I've never seen an MLS game that had singing nearly as loud or coordinated as what I've heard on EPL or other British and European broadcasts. But then, that was TV-- so who knows how accurate the sounds actually were.

Yes, the English are coming, but never seem to make it to Texas.

The singing and chating at MLS games are well put together, but only the supporters groups are doing them. A few hundred or so does not a Trent End make.

For an exhibition match, the only people there will be the supporters groups and a few forest fans. Though this might be an interesting friendly in Europe, considering Forest's glorious past, these matches are not advertised and do not spark much interest in the United States. Forest will be paying in front of a few hundred in cavernous RFK stadium. Well, 54,000 seats is a very small stadium by American standards.

At a US National Team game, though, things are far different. Roughly 1,000 American supporters drowned out 45,000 Mexicans in the Cotton Bowl last Wednesday. For those of you who have not followed this intense little border war that the US is dominating, 1-0, Pope in injury time in the second half.

So your saying all that will be there are the fuddy duddies.
Well we'll still give them a burst of "i was born under a trent end goal" and "Joe Kinnear is magic he wears a magic hat" and the all time favourite "we all agree Nottingham forest are magic" and i'm sure there will be the odd "In-ger-land - In-ger-land"

Your info is wrong, Be assured that Forest will have over 1,000 brits at the game, mostly Forest fans but many British team fans will be their, 3 Stoke, 2 Portsmouth & 2 Man United travelling down with my party from little old Rhode Island.

Maybe we'll see you there then u.s red, i'll be the one with the 15ftx8ft st George flag.
I know that on dc united's web site it says no large flags but it will be interesting to see them try and stop me getting in, after all flags are now a big part of the game so maybe dc should catch up with the rest of the world

I can hardly wait for Forest's US tour. I'm also heading down from Rhode Island to see the whole tour. Hopefully the tour will kick off a better season. With County being continually in the dumps a merger might be a regrettable necessity. Hopefully not but a return to the Clough-esq heights of the champions league and fa cups will be one day coming.
