Real Betis Balompie 2009-2010 Thread (R)
Well another season will soon be upon us and my four wishes are as follows:
1. Lopera sells his shares of Betis and leaves the club once and for all!!
2. Betis wins promotion to Primera late in the season and not on the final Sunday!
3. Juanito, Arzu, Odonkor, Capi, Pavone, and a few others get traded or loaned out.
4. Betis wins the Copa del Rey and qualifies for a UEFA slot!!
Viva Er Beti Manque Pierda!!

I never thought about the Copa Del Rey. But with Real Madrid investing something like 200M in players this season They will want to fight for every trophy. So will Barca. It will be difficult!
We have signed four players so far:
Carlos Garcia on loan from Almeria -- with option to buy next year.
Iriney on loan from Almeria -- with option to buy next year
Stephan Sunny on loan from Valencia -- with option to buy next year
Nasief Morris (almost signed) -- From Panathanikos. loan with option to buy.
Lopera is taking the cheaper alternative obviously with all these loan signings, but what else can we do? We are in the Segunda so it's not easy to attract good players to our squad.

Well, another day and Dictator Lopera still has a stronghold on the club.
I fear the only thing that can get Lopera outta there is death. He will NEVER sell. Period. Ne-ver. I also fear Beticos have been duped; Betis did die in 1992 and the last 17 years it's been FC LOPERA.

Highest cost in Segunda and guess whose pockets the profits of these jerseys go to?? If you guessed Lolo's pocket via Tegasa or one of his other business ventures created to suck the treasury dry, you're right!!

Re: Real Betis Balompie 2009-2010 Thread (R)
What are our chances of being promoted back up after reports alleging that Xerez didn't report capital increases in 2002? According to reports from Marca, if Xerez are guilty they could be demoted to Segunda B, and Alaves promoted to Segunda, Betis promoted to La Liga.

This is crazy stuff !!
