Default Adrian Cann

Any chance we'll see Adrian Cann starting at right back this Saturday ? Does he have experience defending on the outside ?

Any chance Zizi will start at RB this week.

Can we please stop proposing these kinds of changes after one road game that happened to the be season opener?

Seems like the only true RB we have on the roster is Stewart and he's at least a month away from being game match fit. Unfortunately until Jeff gets back, it likely we'll see various players at this position including de la Torre, Crawford and possibly Bourchers or Cann.

Cann is a good player and deserves a chance at RB this week... I think Sullivan played very good last week and nobody expected that kind of play out of a rookie. So I hope they give Adrian a go at RB this week.

Adrian is a wonderful player...it is a shame they haven't played him yet, it is actually their loss....he played mostly sweeper in college and there was no one better than him at that spot....he also played in the midfield. he is the type of player that you need on the field instead of on the side line. he was defender of the year his junior and senior seasons.

Good timing to rewind this thread. With Borchers and Mastroeni hurt, it could be that Cann will get a chance.

Not sure what having inexperienced back line folks will do for us, but clearly defense isn't the problem right now.

WEll, Nat is out courtesy of the last-minute red card, and I believe I heard that Pablo's latest yellow sits him down as well. Anyone have confirmation on that?

If so, there may be no choice but to plug in some youngsters and see what happens.

For the full story, read the American Soccer News article, but yes, Pablo is out due to yellow card caution points.

The Rapids face:
Borchers out (suspended)
Pablo out (suspended and probably busy traveling to meet with the NATs)
Pedro out (Haiti NAT team duty)
Kingsley out (sore foot or something)
Chung out (quad strain)
Kotschau (coming back from abdominal strain, not 100% fitness level)
Stewart (still out, but starting to run better, still not practicing)

Time for SOMEBODY to show up! Could be Cann, orrrrr, could be the new guy they just signed today, Rey Ángel Martinez. Martinez has been confirmed to be traveling to D.C.

Cheers,

BilFish

Yeah, and it is quite ironic how Bruce Arena is letting Stewart play one game against Colorado tonight only to return to the nats for tomorrows game because his beloved team (DC) is depleated... What a farce... @#$#@$
