Einmal Löwe--Immer Löwe (TSV 1860 München Official Thread 09/10 I [R]
Interview in TZ with that Back-stabbing Bastard Micki Stevic.
Herr Stevic, are you a smooth-talking artist? Alexander Ludwig also had an offer from the Bundesliga, but instead is coming to 1860. How did one pull that off?
We dazzled him with out team concept, that 1860 is the right club for him.
What is this concept?
We said, that the team wants to put forth another face. We want to
imporve with small, certain steps.
(what utter crap!!! no substance at all in what this man says)
How difficult has the past season been for your job ahead?
That we secured our spot on the on 33 matchday has not helped matters. Also, the accompanying circumstance. Everyone who hears 1860 thinks: restelessness, strange environment. That is something we want to change. We want the club to become what it used to be - with a stable, quiet environment. The nice City, the stadium and the tradition does not score goals. We need a good team.
(Again, what freak'n nonsense. 1860 has NEVER had a quiet environment. Where the hell has Stevic been for 40 years? 40 coaches in the same number of years is NOT quiet and peaceful. What a bullshit artist.)
Many have wondered why your first transfer was a goalkeeper. What does that say against Michael Hofmann and Philipp Tschauner, was for Kiraly?
I remember when I was questioned about why I brought Rukavina as right defender. Three weeks later it was written that he was the best transfer in 10 years without consultants or commissions. In the next season the people will see why Kiraly was selected. We want in this position to have a player with a "personality" - one who has much experience and who can give much to the young players.
(What a F*CKING smack in the face to Hofmann. The ego on this guy is enourmous. I have read nearly ALL the press and I NEVER recall ANYONE making a statement about Rukavina as Stevic is saying was written. What a lying scumbag. Now I hope Kiraly DOES suck as bad as Keith is saying just so Stevic can eat his own GD words.)
Which postions are now most important to you: Defense, Defensive Midfield or Attack?
One after the other. We are giving ourselves a little time to see what psorting issues, as well as human issues match our objectives. We must not allow a high error rate. Therefore, we will think over a few things longer. With Rukavina I can say we are on a good path. He feels at home him and wants to stay.
Is Goran Sukalo still an issue?
For him some clubs are not an issue. We have show that we can be a surprise. It could also be that someone comes to him that just does not fit.
(What the F does THAT mean? Someone hand me my Enigma device so I can decode this crap.)
With AEK Athens there is a tug-o-war over Grigorios Makos from Panionios Athen. How does that stand?
He is a good player. The subject is still open. We will get good players, but not at any price. We are 1860 München and must really think through before we splash out money.
How does the general financial situation for the club look?
Naturally we want investors, but we need to do the best with the situration we have. I was a fighter as a player and I will remain so. Like Herr Stoffers (the Geschäftsführer) said: "We are looking for creative solutions."
(ROFL....This sounds to me like excuse making after finding out it ain't so easy to run a club with financial problems. Geesh, Stevic, perhaps you should actually have read a bit about 1860's problems before stabbing Reuter in the back to take his job!!!!)
Through the sale of Fabian Johnsons you could put some monety into the club. Wolfsburg has stated interest.
I have a very good line to Fabian and we will do all we can to keep him. I will fight with everything I have to extend his contract.
Ivan Klasnic wants to come back to Deutschland. Would he be a possibility?
I have spoken to him in the Winter. We do not need to discuss the quality of player he is, but we need to be realistic. There is a price that for 1860 is utopia. Someone like him would cost the entire budget of the club. But, I will call him again. He is a gigantic talent.
Marco Pantelic, who was a possibility at one point is no longer a candidate?
I am a real fighter but no Walt Disney. I have another striker in mind of the same quality who is not as expensive as Pantelic.
What is with your #10, Sascha Rösler. Is he with the acquisition of Alexander Ludwig superfluous?
Sascha can be very beneficial for us. We talked before vacation. If he is fit, he has the potential to lead many players. He has potential to be a leader.
Last question: Is your goal still to get promoted next season?
I can only speak when the squad is complete. There are also some players who will be leading (like Danny Schwarz, who will definately not get a new contract). As long as I am here, I will do my best to make sure all with the club goes well.
(Ain't that F*CKING easy is it Stevic? You shot your mouth off so much in February about how easy it was and how poorly Reuter and Co made tough decisions and that 1860 should have been doing better. NOW you see that it ain't easy to build a winning team with ZERO $$$$. What a tool!!!)

More personnel news...
- Kiraly and Tschauner will be the #1 and #2 respectively
- Hofmann was given another one year extension as the #3 and will be able to play for the U23 if he wants.
- Former U23 Krauss has been let go, as has his back-up Roessl. That leaves the U23 team with just Hofmann unless they bring in someone else...which I think they will.
- Lienens top transfer target Thorben Marx is not coming to 1860 but following his former Trainer Michael Frontzek to BMG.
- Also, Mladen Kristajic is leaving Schalke for Belgrade, not 1860.
- Paul Tomik is a target as well, though no further info on if/when he may sign.
- Schwarz and Ledgerwood have been told to find new clubs. Danny will likely to to 'haching, while FSV has shown interest in Nik. There goes any depth we had!!!

- Seems Stevic is going after Josh Kennedy from KSC.
- Stoffers is quoted as saying that "When Stevic and Lienenstart talking transfers they seem to be on another planet with time and space have no meaning, just football."

I think he means, "We baffled him with bullshit....."
Plus, Ludwig didn't have any offer "from the Bundesliga". He'd talked to Cottbus, who, last time I checked, will be in the 2nd Bundesliga next season.
I don't think it was a coincidence that Ludwig signed with 1860 AFTER Cottbus' relegation was confirmed!

Well, to be fair, what he said after the part you slay him for is true. The city, stadium and tradition do not score goals and Sechzig does need to build a good team.
I just don't think he had a clue of what he was getting into as you make clear later.

Not only that Garry, but who the f#ck questioned the move when he brought in Rukavina??!! Everyone I heard who even commented about it called it a great move!
He's making up shit to try to justify an unnecessary move!

He's on a "good path" with Rukavina? That's not what I'm hearing from friends in Dortmund.
The only thing Stevic has going for him is that no one else seems to be calling BVB about Rukavina.

It looks to me like Stevic thinks he has that "savvy" you used to accuse Reuter of not having Garry. LOL!!

A striker of Pantelic's quality who isn't as expensive? You've got to show me that one!
I'd say Stevic is spinning "Disney-like" tales!

He also has the potential to be a selfish pain in the ass, which is why he was dumped by his last two teams.
I thought he would come to Sechzig and redeem himself, but except for one moment against Rostock, it's been the same old shit from him.
And here's another thing.
Stevic pretty much admits they talked to Sukalo. He's already signed Ludwig (who may play striker, but Roesler can too) and still has Aigner on the roster too.
If Sukalo had said yes, who else but Roesler would be moved out to make room??
I think Stevic hopes to get another midfielder/striker and will try to sell Roesler only to find no takers......

Re: Einmal Löwe--Immer Löwe (TSV 1860 München Official Thread 09/10 I [R]
So, I was watching the German Krimi "Lutter" on ZDF Saturday night (Yes, I know I know I am loser). Lutter is big into soccer and lives above a field in Essen. Throughout, Fussball references were sprinkled into the dialog. At some point somebody was explaining to Lutter some shady business dealings that had to do with murder being investigated. Lutter responded: "In Bayern nennen sie sowas einen Wildmoser." (In Bavaria they call something like that a Wildmoser). I thought of the Löwen here when I heard it.

ROFL....that's too funny.
You know, in the US, Wildmoser would have sued them for writing that.

Re: Einmal Löwe--Immer Löwe (TSV 1860 München Official Thread 09/10 I [R]
A double blast for you Garry. I'm going to post this and then go run for cover!!
Nik Ledgerwood to FSV Frankfurt
According to the story linked here, Ledgerwood signed a one-year contract with an option for a second. I'm pretty sure the club holds that option.
FSV Team Chief Thomas Oral said: "Ledgerwood fits into our plans to make the team younger. He has all the tools to make his breakthrough here."
Of course, Ledgerwood joins FSV on a free transfer.
Simon Jentzsch to FC Augsburg
According to the article linked here on Jentzsch's move, like Ledgerwood, Jentzsch only got a one-year contract. For me, that doesn't show a lot of confidence in either player by his new club.
FC Augsburg coach Jos Luhukay said, "We are happy to win the battle to bring Simon to FCA. His experience and quality will help us."
Simon Jentzsch said after apparently taking a hit from the crack pipe: "I decided for FC Augusburg over a foreign club in the UEFA Euro League because I am impressed with FC Augsburg's philosophy, new stadium and sporting perspective. After personally speaking with the new coach and the general manager, I had a good feeling. I am firmly convinced this is a good fit."
I only meant he's on crack about the team in the UEFA Euro League, not everything else he said.
But this is now an interesting situation. FCA now has three keepers under contract for next season.
And I think one of them would have been better for 1860 than Kiraly........
