Camacho puts Kaibosh on Solari to Man Utd
Camacho shows again que tiene cojones
According to Marca, Manchester United had sought to sign Santiago Solari for a fee of around 6 million euros, and a deal had been agreed between the clubs and Solari had even supposedly agreed, but the deal is now dead as Solari is cup-tied. Thank you, Camacho. His contract runs out after this year, and apparently Real hasn't made any moves to renew it... We all know how much Queiroz likes Solari, but I guess he's going to have to wait.

Re: Camacho puts Kaibosh on Solari to Man Utd
wtf....stupid Perez....RESIGN SOLARI....he is the only pure left winger on the team. Zidane is getting up there in age and Solari is VERY useful.
This President is still finding ways of pissing me off.

When Camacho says squad depth, he means squad depth. I think Florentino still doesn't know Camacho too well....

Wrong. Camacho never gets fired. He leaves whenever he wants, and most of the time in his career he has left his team while they were doing well, not losing. If Camacho sees that Real is not treating him right as they had both agreed when he signed the contract, he will leave. Don't worry though, he will get the team a title or two before he goes, he does not lose reputation when moving.

Re: Camacho puts Kaibosh on Solari to Man Utd
I think Solari is vital to the team - he is a great winger, can play defensively as well as offensively, does not have a problem sitting on the bench, and is experienced and loyal. He, along with Ronaldo and Zidane, were last year's most consistent performers, and he's one of my personal favorite players.

Re: Camacho puts Kaibosh on Solari to Man Utd
I think in this case it's not such a bad thing to not sell the player and ignore the money you would still be able to get from somebody that will most likely choose to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, because he will be needed this season. I don't think he'll want to be a bench sitter for a couple of seasons more even if Madrid decided to renew his contract. Nor should he really, he deserves to be a starter. It's 'too bad' for him that Zidane also plays in Madrid.
Hopefully he'll be his usual self when he gets to play and manage to play himself to a good contract at a big club, because with the talent he's got, he has been a very, very polite player/sub for the club. I don't think I've ever heard of him bitching about being on the bench, this when I see players with less quality and accomplishments already giving their coach heat for not being a starter.
