I think Eboue should be given a run too... but the guy doesnt concentrate enough on defense...

I think in this next run of games against smaller clubs, Eboue should play RB... but in CL, it has to be Bacary

i could be mistaken, but i think eboue has started every CL match this year, with the majority at fullback.

he didnt start at RB against Celtic, and the match at AZ Alkmaar

you have to look at who we were playing though... I think at the time you said that Alkmaar were a Championship level team

he is a liability defensively against a team like Porto... you cant trust him to start at the Estadio Dragon, imo... his positional failings will be punished... as opposed to the cakewalk group we had in the group stage

Sagna is a better defender, but not as much as it used to be because Sagna has regressed, imo

At this point the very term 'race card' has become a race card

Let me tell you about a kid named Robbie Rogers, plays on the left for the Columbus Crew, with a wily old Argentinian, Gino Padula, behind him, and another wily old Argentinian, Guillermo Barros Schellotto, running the show in the middle. Great speed, wonderful close control, has been capped a few times for the US in unimportant games. Spends most of every game looking surprised every time one of the Argies plays the ball to him, or to where he should have been. Usually runs into a blind alley when he has the ball. And one of the whitest guys you are ever going to see. Don't ask over on the Crew board, though, half the guys there think he's better than Cronaldo.

That stereotype probably still persists to a certain extent, but I don't think that daedalus was engaging in that sort of stereotyping with his post.

But that's enough of that. Thread closed.
