I'm pro gay marriage, but I really couldn't car less what she thinks about it. And I agree... what the hell is that question doing in a beauty pageant Q&A session anyway?

But like I said before: Beauty pageants are popularity contests. She went on a popularity contest and said something unpopular. The object is to say something that makes people like you, and she said something the judges didn't like. She knew what the game was when she went on stage, and she blew it. That simple. Our runner-up will receive these lovely parting gifts.

I actually respect her for sticking to what she believes instead of caving. Just don't complain when people disagree. It's like the Sheep League. The object isn't to pick the right answer -- it's to pick the most popular one. I think soccer is the best sport in the world, but I sure as all hell wouldn't say that in Fast Money on Family Feud.

I would just like to point out nobody has any idea who actually won the contest/pageant/what the hell it's called, so I think everybody actually "won" in this one.

The cynical side of me wonders if someday 10 years from now we'll find out everybody involved was in on the whole thing and planned it for weeks prior...

The reason Miss Prejean is an idiot is not because she doesn't believe in gay marriage. What she actually said was that she was glad to live in a country where we are free to choose gay marriage or "opposite marriage". As she should know, especially being a resident of California, that is not the case.
