Howard Spector --- ? --------- ? --- Bornstein Holden --- Edu -----------Bradley --- Feilhaber ---Adu-------------- --------------Altidore----------- 4 years is a long time. Donovan and Dempsey will be great to bring on.
Jermain jones will be 32. And Charlie Davies could turn into one of those strikers that you bring on in the second half. It all depends on how people develop around him. I really have no idea who can be our centerbacks. MAybe Opara will be a beast in 4 years.
Bornstein is one of those guys that is still REALLY raw for whatever reason. I'm hoping his time down in Mexico will help polish him because he definitely has potential...he just gets really nervous and has a somewhat poor touch (but its been getting better). He was surprisingly dangerous going forward today and took a couple powerful cracks at goal that didn't look bad, but were blocked. I have faith in him 4 years from now but he MUST develop.
---------Friedel-------- -----------------DMB -----Random MLSer---Gooch --Holden---Torres---Edu----Benny ----Mathis---------Gaven --------Heaps-----------
He did draw that free kick we almost scored on at the end of the game. He was also the only US defender that wasn't partially to blame on any of the goals. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Howard Spector --- Gooch --------- ? --- ? Holden --- Feilhaber -----------Bradley --- Donovan ---------Dempsey------- --------------Altidore----------- Edu and Torres will will also start some games.
Spector and Bornstein of these 2 maybe Spector will make the team. Feilhaber will also be passed over by younger talent Adu will be lucky if he's ever called up again. Howard, Altidore, Torres, Edu. Bradley and Holden. We could see an entirely new back 4 I'm curious about Dempsey and Landon. they certainly will be on the team, I'm curious if any of the young guys get their starting spots
If Spector and Bornstein are still on the squad, then they either GREATLY improved or we failed. And you're still clinging to the hope that Adu becomes a good player. ....well so am I. Who knows if Howard will still even be playing anymore. If so, he might even retire from the nats. He already said he's not looking to play into his mid/late 30s.

Okay, let me re-state: One of the worst players I've ever seen in a USMNT jersey. He added nothing to the attack. But it's not his fault for being born. It's Bradley's fault for ignoring Bornstein's numerous mistakes and missed chances. Same with Findley. We saw against the Netherlands that he's not up to snuff. What gets me about Bradley--and I think he's an otherwise decent coach--is that he repeatedly ignores poor efforts by under-performers. Clark should not have started. Findley and Bornstein should not have made the team. How could these things be so plainly obvious to all of us, Ives, Grant Wahl, Martin Rogers, and everyone else, yet totally ignored by Bradley? If he gets fired, which is likely, it will be because he's obtuse, not unskilled. If the response to all of this is that Bornstein and Findley were our best options, then we didn't deserve to leave the Round of 16.
Guzan at goal [LINEUP-4-4-2] Adu, Altidore, Holden, Edu, Torres, Donovan, Spector, Boss, Opara, Garza, Guzan [/LINEUP-4-4-2]
Yes, for all the flack Bornstein has received on these boards for the past several years, he has played well in his last 2 World Cup starts.
Well at least I'm not the only one who mentions Garza. And Opara does look interesting. But no Bradley?
Edu>Bradley Torres>Bradley Donovan>>>>Bradley Holden>Bradley and that's right now much less 4 years from now.
Whoa, dude. Bradely was rated one of the top 11 players in the first round of competition: he controlled the tempo, distributed, defended, and scored a key goal. What more can you ask for? He certainly played much better than Edu, Torres, and Clark.
Why no mention of Omar Gonzalez? Donovan and Dempsey are locks for 2014. Donovan will head over to the EPL and he will get better. Dempsey will just be Dempsey Keep altidore and davies together over the next 4 years. We have something with them. Adu will never become anything. Bornstein is getting better. Hopefully Onyewu gets some time for Milan. Spector is getting better in the EPL. Holden will get better playing for Bolton. Freidel will retire eventually and Guzan will finally be the number one. Bradley will continue to play well in Germany maybe move to a better side. Torres will always play at pachuca
Bradley is our best midfielder. Come 2014 he could be the best center mid the USA has ever had. Don't be so hard on him hes twenty freaking two.
I disagree, he played more, I don't see the talent in him that I see in Edu, Torres, Donovan , and Torres. As for Clark, he shouldn't be on the 2014 team but you never know.
