neither are under contract

3 - Petke
4 - Namoff
5 - Carroll
6 - Olsen
7 - Gomez
8 - Gros
9 - Kovalenko
10 - Moreno
11 - Eskandairan
12 - Quaranta
Protected (either P40 or Developmental)
1 - Stokes
2 - Kuffour
3 - Adu
4 - Thompson
Unprotected (in order that they will be pulled back if/when DCU player is selected by RSL or Chivas)
1 - Prideaux
2 - Hendrickson
3 - Perkins
4 - Quintanilla
5 - Lawson
6 - Martins
7 - Ara
Kovalenko could be a surprise unprotected player based on his salary ($165K) and constant red/yellow card issues although the departure of Stewart leaves outside midfield as a depth-thin position so Dema will likely be protected. Even with Nelsen possibly heading to Europe, DCU would likely rather lose Prideaux or Hendrickson (knowing that they have an allocation from the Convey transfer that they can use) than losing a young talent like Quaranta.
In terms of expansion picks, I see Chivas taking Quintanilla and RSL taking Prideuax and possibly Perkins.

Goff agreeswith those 12. Says Quintanilla will be exposed. So the TI not available part of one of the MLS press releases might have been incorrect.

Re: New "potential SLC Players" page on Loyalist website
I was impressed with Jake Sagare the left winger who I think was with Portland last year and spent some time over in England previously. He looks speedy and reasonably skilled and left sided wingers and backs aren't really growing on trees in this league.
From the other A-league games I saw last year, Bolanos did indeed look pretty good but costs an SI. Other than Gordon, nobody else really stood out to me.
I think RSL's best bet will be to load up from the College ranks and see what they come up with. Guys like Jeff Parke, Nat Borchers, Josh Gros and Davy Arnaud came into the league without a whole lot of notice, but turned out to be very good starters in the league. MLS rosters are not known for their depth so the pickings in the expansion draft won't be that great.
For those RSL fans that haven't watched MLS, just say NO to Orlando Perez. You'll thank me later.

Re: New "potential SLC Players" page on Loyalist website
According to MLS, there are 68 unprotected players, of which 5 have played all 9 years of MLS.
http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_n..._mls&fext=.jsp
We already have one of them signed (Jason Kreis). Which of the other 4 would RSL fans like to see on the team:
Brian Maisonnueve
Cobi Jones
Jeff Agoos
Preki
I am a big fan of Preki, but he is over the hill. Agoos seems to keep motoring on. I would prefer to do without Cobi or Maisonnueve. From this bunch, I would take Agoos.
Chances are, with all the keepers unprotected; we will get a very good keeper as well.
