Pretty good stuff. What is Algeria, 26 miles from Spain (or even Sardegna)? Probably a lot more than that, but it looks close on a map.

I would have gone with a more obvious statistical fact. Mexico has never beaten the US in the World Cup. Hence, being the last two teams on the list, we'd win the World Cup.

How about a Non-Euro or Non-South American team that went 3 and out in the previous World Cup has never won it the next time around. Advantage Mexico

We'll win the World Cup through Chuck Norris.

depends how big the map is......a few years ago a team from the Ukraine showed up two days late to the Dallas Cup.....they had landed in New York and taken a bus to Dallas because "it didn't look that far on the map"......

Re: How the USMNT is Guaranteed to Win the World Cup
The key is to set your expectations really, really, really low, then any success feels like a huge win!
For the Confederations Cup I was hoping the team would score at least one goal from the run of play. For the World Cup I'm hoping that only one U.S. player gets a straight red after a tackle.
