Rest of the World 2010
Knowing already the 32 classified nations for South Africa 2010, what do you believe are the most important players that won't attend upon having been eliminated with their respective countries?, could you do a 23-man squad and an initial team?
I'd say (I'm not considering retired players from international matches as Giggs or Mutu):
Squad
GK AKINFEEV, Igor (Russia & CSKA Moscow)
GK CECH, Petr (Czech Republic & Chelsea)
GK GIVEN, Shay (Ireland & Manchester City)
CB CHIVU, Cristian (Romania & Inter Milan)
CB CÓRDOBA, Iván (Colombia & Inter Milan)
CB HYYPIÄ, Sami (Finland & Bayer Leverkusen)
CB VAN BUYTEN, Daniel (Belgium & Bayern Münich)
RB SRNA, Darijo (Croatia & Shakhtar Donetsk)
LB VARGAS, Juan (Peru & Fiorentina)
LB ZHIRKOV, Yuri (Russia & Chelsea)
DM KEITA, Seydou (Mali & Barcelona)
DM TYMOSHCHUK, Anatoliy (Ukraine & Bayern Münich)
CM ALTINTOP, Hamit (Turkey & Bayern Münich)
OM IRELAND, Stephen (Ireland & Manchester City)
OM MISIMOVIC, Zvjezdan (Bosnia and Herzegovina & Wolfsburg)

Not officially. His last position was about his refusal to play for Ireland, also believes he won't back in the future, but doesn't rule out completely: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...us/8041610.stm
