Isn't player and team familiarity with referees a problem in every domestic league in the world? It's certainly not new in MLS. In England everyone knows all the Premier League referees' reputations and tendencies, and the same handful of names referee the same 20 teams every week. How do other countries handle this given that there is only a limited pool of top-level referees anywhere in the world?
