List the best Best of the Decade lists here

Hey, did you know the decade is almost over? And VH 1 is going be putting out "I Love the Naughts" sometime next year? And of course, that means Best of the Decade lists.

Here are a couple of lists of lists that I've browsed through. If you've seen anything else good, post 'em:
Pitchfork P2K: http://pitchfork.com/p2k/ - Top 500 singles, Top 200 albums, Top 50 albums
I can't quibble with any of those, but I think my tastes tend to line up with their reviewers' for the most part.

I like these, mostly because they remind me of early-00s stuff that I'd completely forgotten about.

I was thinking about this the other day. I am just waiting for the Top 10 decade list threads to start in this forum.

This also opens up a possibility of a lot of drafts for the best of the decade stuff.

NPR's All Songs Considered came up with the 50 most important recordings of the decade: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...cc=mn-20091117

They sort of copped out by listing them in alphabetical order rather than a qualitative ranking. Couple of thoughts:
* Sigur Ros put out () this decade? It feels so long ago.
* I might have overrated the Grey Album at the time. It was fun to listen to, but I wouldn't call it important, even if it put DangerMouse on the map and begat Gnarls Barkley.
* Britney? Maybe the 90s, but 00s?

I didn't like their TV list at all. Or their episode list.

And I don't get why the metal list doesn't have Dethklok. Sure, it's comical, satirical, mainstream. But it's just fraking good and fraking metal music. It is so metal the CD itself will stab you with a highly ornate battle axe if you disparage it. It isn't like Amon Amarth or any of the other groups isn't silly unless you get into the mindset first. Dethklok did more for metal this decade than all of the selected bands combined.
