Default La Galaxy vs Real Salt Lake, who'll win the MLS Cup? [R]

Who will win the 2009 MLS cup? Real Salt Lake looked very well last night vs Chicago. The team was really into it. They kept coming back and never gave up. Their defense was spectacular. As per LA, their bigger advantange is the fact that they have more experience in this type of events. They've won a MLS cup before and were in other ones as well. I would say that LA Galaxy should win this cup.

When RSL is flowing they are the best team in the league. They usually finish their chances with the exception of last night. RSL scores three in the final for the win.

Who was on the LA team when they won the cup in '05?

Experience only counts for those who were there... Donovan, Dunivant, Gordon.

Grabavoy is now with RSL.

It would be interesting to know how many players from each team have been to (and won) an MLS Cup?

I think on paper it's a Galaxy win all the way. But that's what I love about this game, paper does not dictate winners and even the very best team can be defeated every once in a while.

I'm siding with Galaxy, for obvious reasons, but I'll certainly not say that they have a sure-shot at this. RSL has played amazingly well in the play-offs and to not give them the credit they deserve would be a grave mistake by the Galaxy.

Good luck to both teams and here's to an awesome Final on Sunday!

The Galaxy will win, but i'll be just as happy if they don't, RSL is a very good team and deserves to be in the final.

What are you guys talking about all four of you!! RSL is going to win, the way they were getting to the Chicago FC's goal was real good, they have swagger when it comes to passing, freaking L.A. was so lucky to get that goal and the penalty was just a penalty, so im going with RSL babi!!!

Were you guys watching the games??? Freaking RSL played way better than any team in the semi's... no goals in any games that were worth goals, but RSL played real well they going to win this year..

LA comes out strong in this one. RSL has the heart but they don't have the individual matchups to take this match.

RSL's strength is their Midfield and I just don't think they will do much against LA's midfield (who has been on fire lately).

I expect this to be a very open attacking game.

LA-3
RSL-2

I see this as pretty wide open as well 4-3 Galaxy.

I don't see LA's offense scoring that much, but their defense will keep RSL from scoring either. I think RSL has a better overall front six but Donovan and Beckham almost even it out. LA's defense is notably better than RSL's though. I don't see more than three total goals in this game, and I'm favoring 2-1 RSL.

Hopefully LA. I think that would be best for the league to get a little attention. BECKHAM WINS HIS FIRST MLS TITLE would make a good headline. I just wish it was Chicago vs LA (Beckham vs Blanco).
