Wink LOL Conspiracy theorists

Literally every other team is complaining about how LA Galaxy is getting "help" to win games, including last nights game. Some people have gone as far as to call the HDC Black outs a conspiracy.

I was ready to type a lengthy post to show how delusional they all sound but I decided just now to refrain and say this...

This goes to all you conspiracy theorists on the other teams, including the team themselves (clark)... on the 22nd while you moan and cry and sit in a puddle of your own tears I and a lot of other Galaxy fans will be in Seattle (drunk) cheering and singing and supporting our G's in the MLS Cup.

good luck in 2010

Conspiracy theories are a predictable part of any MLS Cup run, especially on Big Soccer. There were some pretty choice ones last year that alleged that the Illuminati were behind the Red Bulls unlikely run into the MLS Cup and that the team's success had something to do with Aztec jewels being buried on the current site of Red Bull Arena, a golden calf named Xezyophesus that can be seen in the Red Bull logo during a lunar eclipse, and backward masking of messages hidden in the entire second season of The Munsters (exposed by John Wolyniec's goal celebration ritual).

By the time the Cup is over, we'll all know that Beckham is a Cosa Nostra Consigliere, that Donovan's family tree includes Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Marquis de Sade and the Geico Caveman, and that Dema Kovalenko was sent to L.A. by aliens to retrieve DNA from Blanco's nut sack so future generations will not repeat the folly of mankind, circa 2009 A.D.

yeah since day one people have tried to claim the league is rigging things to get certain teams in to mls cup. ironically it seems the years when it would be perfect to have a given team in the final they almost never make it.

this year how badly would mls have wanted seattle vs. anybody? 2003/2004, and especially 2008 were tailor made for an LA appearance. 2005/06 dallas. next year i'm sure they'll want the red bulls in the final. 2001 they probably wanted the crew.

i think the only two years they actually got the team(s) they wanted in the final were 1997 at rfk and 2005 at gillette.

I think the biggest one would have been the G's themselves in 98... stupid chicago.

There may have been a conspiracy last night; but, it was not for the Galaxy to win- it was for Houston to win Reason? Why was the confetti Orange??

I can't say I really blame Houston fans for venting crazy theories. They lost a very hard fought game where they hand the upper had in the second half AND had an apparent goal taken away. That's got to be a major kick in the stomach...or groin...

That said, any kind of league 'conspiracy' is pretty ludicrous. As if the referee had The Don in his earpiece screaming "call a foul and call off that goal!"

this is most likely why it was red/orange. watch tonight's game and see what color the confetti is.

I watched Houston's goal a few times, and i believe it was a good call by ref.
Houston is such a dirty team (did you watch their first leg vs. Asspounders?), they cut opposing players like lawnmovers. If you watch replay closely you will see that ref started raising his hand before Hainault's shot.
