Alan Gordon: you can only hope to contain him...
Once again, Flash Gordon lays the smackdown on the haters as only he can do.
Buddle had a rough night with his touch, although he fought like a warrior. But he lacks that ability to just bitchslap defenders like a force of nature as only Gordo can. They have to foul him to stop him. In a slugfest match like this one, it has to be Gordo.

I co-sign this powerful thread. Gordon is a beast. Some kids piss their name in the snow. Alan Gordon can piss his name into concrete.

He was the difference in the game. Nice job, Gordo.

Let's not get too carried away, it took him a long time to climb out of mediocrity. He's been good the last half of the season, but far from "pissing his name into concrete". He's doing his job now, not saving the Earth. It's funny how we'll latch onto a player that decides to do what he's paid to do when we have other players that have been consistently doing their job the entire season... Just sayin'.

Re: Alan Gordon: you can only hope to contain him...
I was so glad they finally put him in and took Buddle out. My whole section (142) was yelling obscenities at Buddle for most of the time he was out there.
Talked to Gordon on his way out to the second half, I finally met him for ten seconds (insert dreamy sigh here).

Re: Alan Gordon: you can only hope to contain him...
buddle seems to have really lost his touch. gordon by comparison was flippin' zidane last night in terms of bringing down lofted balls. i have to say if we continue the "lob the ball from midfield" strategy i want gordo in the starting 11

Alan came in and did what a sub is supposed to do: make an impact.
As I've said before - he's my 2nd favorite player on the team. There's just something about him.
I'm so happy for him that he got in the game. And he didn't pick up a yellow card!

I agree; he was pulling everything out; his touch was very nice last night
I wouldn't mind seeing
Buddle -- Gordon
Donovan -- Beckham -- Klein/Birchall

You understand that if he takes you out, you'll probably have to go Dutch, right?
