well 7pm cape town is roughly also prime time in europe, it'll be around midday or late morning in the america's. it's the best time to have it in all honesty.

They are still working on how they are going to rig the draw so that South Africa makes it out of the group stages. Tough task!

Seriously though, they never seem to announce that until the very last minute. It's like the UEFA playoffs where they determined a few weeks in advance that they were going to seed the teams as opposed to a random draw.

To be fair though, we haven't decided ourselves what the pots should be, have we?

I think it's unreasonable to expect Fifa to have sorted it out faster than a bunch of total amateurs could.

They'll probably announced after there pre-draw meeting, like they always have. They probably need to know (apparently irrelevant things like) what teams are in the draw before they can seed it. Unlike people on this board, they actually have to get things right first time - not just have a few wild attempts and laugh them off with a quick LOL if they don't work out.

Try administering something complex and incredibly public first - then see if you think the same.
