Lightning Opener Officially SOLD OUT
Yes, they play in an 800 capacity facility, but these guys have been doing a tremendous job of staffing up, getting all over the newspapers, TV, and radio, and selling tickets and sponsorships.
You figure they probably would have sold another 200-400 walk-up tickets, but the game is officially sold out.
Great job guys!

This is great news. Doesn't matter the venue or the team or the league.
Great job.

Yo Syd, add about 9,000 to the Lightning attendance and you have the amount attending opening night in Baltimore for the Blast. Just kidding, great job.

"Official" attendance... which means take the paid attendance, plus the comps, equals 9000.
Don't bust on Syd and the PASL for selling out a practice facility... i was told the Blast would sell out yesterday... Didn't happen...

Conway personally told me to expect between 8-9,000. I guess you know more than him right?
about 500-600 walkup looks like
You are a fool who announced a sellout against Toronto, and had 6400 announced... with about 300 paid

OK, I won't bust on Syd because you say so, okay? NOT
It was a joke. Lighten up. I guess PASL attendance is off limits for discussions or jokes because of hurt feelings. But its okay for you and other PASLers to bust about Blast/MISL attendance? Can you see how that seems a little hipocritical?
DZ, you are saying that the Blast comped 600 tickets, how would you know that? Do you think any of the Lightnings 903 attendance were comped? No Friends or family members got comped? I doubt it.
My point was that if the Lightning got 903 for all 10 Lightning home games it would add up to 9,030 for the SEASON. The Blast drew 9,600 for their ONE game. The Blast in 1 game would out draw all home lightning games by 570 people. Just saying. Don't you see the joke in that comparison?

They got 903 in Louisville, but I bet you nobody will say a peep about the total in Novi / Royal Oak last night for the Waza - Vortex. 300? 226? Forty?

Okay I'll bite PEEP........................ lol
I'm actually quite impressed with Louisville, they must have a decent marketing plan to get 903 at an indoor soccer facility. And the 903 is more than most USL teams draw.
As it relates to Detroit either MISL/XSL/PASL all there attendances where strange. Ignitions so called sellout string where everyone shows up and blue stadium seats, WAZA claiming sellouts playing hours before the Ignition. It was a running joke that the Ignition were selling out then Waza jumped on the blue bleacher theme and took it to a new level.
My Waza attendance guess 29, not counting players and staff.
