Transfers? We ain't got no transfers. We don't need no transfers!
Sol is still in Toon
Quote:
SOL CAMPBELL will be signed by Newcastle next month.
The ex-England ace, 35, walked out on Notts County in September.
But Toon boss Chris Hughton said: "He's got a lot to offer."

I love how the Sun can make an article out of a six word statement. This transfer is too little, too late. We should let our reserves play before taken on a washed up, walkout defender from League Two.

Hmm I thought the club were courting him in the summer but we were unable to offer him satisfactory terms.... I take it he'll be on less than he was at Notts County.
The only way I see this happening is if Coloccini gets sold.

CH said a few months ago that we wouldn't be signing him. I doubt CH even uttered those words, its just the Sun being the Sun.
I'd be fine if he signed on a year deal, with appearance fees the main part of his earnings, but I doubt this is going to ahppen.

NEW SIGNING!!!
Quote:
French media sources claimed on Saturday that Newcastle were set to complete the signing of Fabrice Pancrate (pictured) - a 29 year-old attacking midfielder/striker who is a free agent after his contract with PSG expired in the summer.
We're aware that the club had a player on trial last week and that he trained with the first team squad - these press claims look to have confirmed his ID.
Parisian Pancrate has previously played for Guingamp, Les Mans, Spanish side Real Betis & Sochaux.
Earlier this season, Pancrate spent some time on trial at Sheffield United and appeared for the Blades reserve team but no contract offer at Bramall Lane was forthcoming.

Is that the same French source that said we'd signed Chamakh in the summer?

As with all rumours this isn't gospel but...
In deepest darkest Ayrshire, where Kris Boyd lives, the rumour is he has said that he has refused a new contract at Rangers on reduced terms and is moving to Newcastle Utd in January.

United Complete Pancrate Deal
We have a new midfielder until the end of the season with an option to extend his contract. No official word where he will fit in and if he is fit enough to play right away.
I wonder if he will take the right wing spot, moving Jonas to the left and McLoven up front.

Or McLoven to the bench, where he belongs.
