Cudicini was in a serious motorcycle accident last night, broken pelvis and 2 broken wrists.

Can't be good for his career at all, hope he recovers at least. Always thought he was a good keeper.

Reminded me of this... A couple of days into John Elway's first training camp with the Broncos in 1983, then-coach Dan Reeves saw Elway puttering around the complex on a little motorized scooter. Reeves put an end to the scooter right then and there.

Darius Vassell evicted from his Turkish hotel

The former England striker Darius Vassell has been evicted from his Ankara hotel after his club Ankaragucu failed to pay the bill.

"I don't know what's happening," he said on Sky Sports News. "I have been told today that I have to leave the hotel. I have asked the managers did I do something wrong? The hotel manager said 'no you didn't do anything wrong' but they had a meeting today with the club and now I must leave the hotel.

"I don't really know what to do, I have not spoken to anybody yet.

"I have all my bags packed. My heart tells me to stay here and play football for the fans but my bags are all packed and I wonder sometimes whether I should go back home. But tomorrow I hope somebody will explain to me what is happening and we can resolve the situation.

"I'm not sure [if I will return to England]. It's difficult. First of all I don't speak the language so I can't hear anything that's happening."

YOSSI BENAYOUN and Albert Riera have dealt Liverpool an untimely blow after the pair were ruled out for up to three weeks with hamstring injuries.

Both players limped out of Monday's 2-2 Premier League draw against Birmingham at Anfield, adding to manager Rafael Benitez's busy treatment room.

Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson also suffered injuries in the same game while the club continue to monitor the fitness of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

Boss Benitez said: "We'll have to wait and see how they progress but hopefully in three weeks they could be available.

"We're disappointed as there are too many things at the moment that we can't change.

"Both players are wingers as well and for them to be out at the same time is bad news for us."

Been folowing Algerian qualification; it's really been interesting with some good games in the group. Egypt were, of course, favorites to win the group, but now they have to beat Algeria by a couple of goals on Saturday. The amount of trash-talking between the two in their media has been insane. Should be an entertaining game to watch this weekend.
