Re: Conor Casey (Do we want him?)
He scores goals but I honestly can't stand the guy. From watching him for the US nats, he's so lazy.

Re: Conor Casey (Do we want him?)
I wouldn't hate to have him, but I wouldn't make an effort to get him either. I think he's a lot like Johnson just slower with a better touch. He's been scoring a lot, but Johnson's 11 goals on a bad team isn't too bad either. Conor will be 29 next July, Johnson will be 26 next November; Conor costs $200k vs Johnson's $70k. Also, as Inkstier mentioned, Conor doesn't seem to have the work rate of Johnson. If we're going to add a striker I'd rather see us spend $300-$400k on a quality striker from Europe or South America than $200k and a traded player on Casey.
Sounds like Casey retracted the "Trade me" challenge anyway.

When reached Friday, Casey said he wouldn't take anything back except the trade challenge.

Re: Conor Casey (Do we want him?)
Does he scores goals? Yes.
Is he slow and often lethargic? Yes.
I'd trade Convey for him as long as Colorado ate some of his salary but as stated before, I wouldn't make any great effort to get him.

Re: Conor Casey (Do we want him?)
I can't stand Casey, and agree he's lazy and thuggish. Would I take him for the Quakes? Hell yes! He's far better than anything we've got right now. I'm not sure if that says more about him or about the Quakes...

Re: Conor Casey (Do we want him?)
Meh, I haven't been all that impressed with him, and I know of at least 2 of his goals that were gimmes / PK's, in back to back games against the Quakes. Take those away and it's 14 goals to RJ's 11, although RJ had one on a PK as well. But I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade. Frank and Doyle probably like him though, and they are determined to acquire a "proven goal scorer", so I suppose it could happen.
