Red Symbol on Jerseys
What was the red symbol on their jerseys this week. I have seen pictures but can not make it out to be anything I recognize.

Re: Red Symbol on Jerseys
Its the symobol for Rememberance Day
They are poppies.
What I noticed was that Manchester United where one of the only teams not to wear the poppies on their sorts. Just proves they don't care, selfish b*****ds. They make enough money to put them on the shirts.

Re: Red Symbol on Jerseys
The only two teams to not wear the poppy were Liverpool and Man utd.Their excuse was that it would'nt be visable on their red kits
Like I said twice yesterday, and utter F**kin disgrace by two of the biggest clubs in the world...
Manchester United
‘We are very proud of the work we do with the Armed Forces and we do not feel a poppy on the shirt would add to our contribution. Our staff and officials will be wearing them as usual and we are confident we are doing the right thing.’
Liverpool
‘We have worked with the British Legion to help publicise and support the Poppy Appeal. There will be a minute’s silence before our game against Birmingham on Monday, a ceremonial poppy placed on the centre circle, a ground collection and advertising made available to raise awareness.’
Bunch of Wankers.
Story Here...

Wow... what a bunch of morons.
Does the managment at these two places really think that people are going to buy these cheap exscuses??
Yeah those things really looked bad on Arsenal in those pics, as did Stoke and Sunderland this week..
Just really dumb from managemnet on both these teams

I can understand Liverpool's claim but ManU has a black strip going across the chest of their jersey. Just another reason to hate ManU more.

I don't to be honest - see what Arsenal did in 2008? Could Liverpool not have done this?
Seeing as Liverpool was heavily bombed in WW2 (as much as anywhere outside of London) I find it additionally offensive that they would not embrace the poppy emblem. I would be offended if I was from Liverpool, that's for damn sure.

Re: Red Symbol on Jerseys
It's such an insignificant kind of gesture too, it would have taken no effort on the teams behalf to have just put that emblem on the shirts.

Pretty much, something the equipment manager should have done.
