Dunivant, compared to the rest of the defense, had a solid game.

At this point, the only change might be starting Lewis with LD up top.
Starting DLG during a need to win game, I think, would be unwise.

There is a better chance he succumbs to the pressure than any of the previous starting defenders.

Last Sunday's performance didnt leave me too satisfied..
this sunday we must come out, confident, secure, and play our game
defense really needs to sharpen up, as the goats can, and probably will, try to score an early one and bunker
the sooner we score, the better..it will give the whole team much more tranquility

I think Berhalter had a good game. He and Sean were the ones who I didn't notice mess up. Although, the blame for the equalizing goal could be put onto Sean for letting that slow ball roll to Ricketts.

As for DLG I think he would be fine if we start him at LB in this game. He has gone up against Messi, Ronaldinho and Henry over the summer and he did amazing against them. I think he can take on a Chivas USA player at LB.

The thing that would hurt is the crossing on the left side if he tries to go forward.

if we play like we did in game one we might as well just take penalty kicks.

i'd actually like to see klein start in place of birchall. birchall is a much better defender and can cover a lot more ground, but klein's passing and vision are so much more incisive. if we could get 45 minutes out of him and a goal or two up on the goats at the half, replace him with birchall in the second half, and then bring in lewis.

I agree with dashiel, Klein starting would be a good idea, when he came on in the SJ game, he immediately paid off when he sprung Landon loose for the 2nd goal. We have to come out hungry, aggressive and with a fire lit under everyone's rears. Hopefully we can score 1-2 goals, bring in Birchall in the second half to lock down and disrupt their midfield and man mark sacha. Eddie Lewis needs to start too so that Becks can play in the center and their 5 man midfield would have to pay attention to everyone.

Edson seriously needs to stop dancing in the box when he has the ball and just fire the ball at the goal. Gordo should come in to soften up the backline. And Omar needs to play his game, he was too mistake prone the last game, that ball back towards our goal should have just been kicked out of bounds, yes Franklin should have not allowed it to pass through but from my playing days you don't kick the ball back towards your own goal in that situation. Just kicked the ball out of bounds and reorganize/ reset the defense.

Two bad games in a row from Omar is highly doubtful, as indicative of the other games this season, I say it's a 1-0 or 2-1 game with us advancing to the West Finals. Have a great time at the game! Cheer until your throat hurts!
