vs.

Barclays Premier League, Upton Park
Sunday, October 25, 2009, 16:15

TV: FSC 12:15 PM LIVE

Code:
4. Arsenal	P8 W6 D0 L2 F27 A11 GD16 Pts.18
19. West Ham P8 W1 D2 L5 F9 A13 GD-4 Pts.5

Away to the under-performing West Ham won't be easy, but we got a warning against complacency today, and should have some players returning (Rosicky).

Let's get back to our winning track. 2-0 is not too much to ask!

(Definitely not 1 goal lead game pls, I'll get heart attack before the game ends)

GO GUNNERS!

Sky Blue N' Gooner, perhaps?

I'm curious to see how the keeper situation plays out. Manone certainly shows promise and saved our ass in the Fulham game, but let's not kid ourselves, he's also made a lot of the kind of mistakes that you expect from a young keeper. He may be a good goalkeeping option down the road, but who really believes that he's ready for the big games? This was a guy who wasn't supposed to play any first-team games this year. I've agreed with Arsene's decision to give him a stretch of playing time, but I also wonder if he might decide it's time to put Almunia back in. The big question to me is how Almunia responds to his newfound competition—if he's ever given the chance, that is.

The question here is who is going to start? I'm guessing we will see the same team that played yesterday but Rosicky playing for Eboue. It would have been nice to have one or 2 other options as im sure Cesc/Arshavin/RVP/Song are really tired at the moment.

I certainly expect Arsenal to be back to form again this weekend.

I also expect Almunia to be back in goal for this match. Mannone is starting to creak quite a bit. The Bowyer goal was poor but it's the other tactical mistakes he has made in the past few weeks that makes me think that his confidence is wilting. IMO, it is best to sit him now rather than wait until his confidence is crushed. Putting Almunia in now also forces Almunia to realize that if he isn't up to snuff he will be back on the bench and Mannone back in. If we wait until Mannone falters then the pressure is eased off Almunia.
