Default Torres looked good - 4/5/1 formation

Very smooth. He needs some starts in the upcoming friendlies. Go Gringo Torres!

We seriously need to consider running 5 midfielders in a 4/5/1. Our midfield depth along with Gooch and Davies injured seems to point this way.

I can't think of any 4/4/2 I like right now.

Get well soon Charlie and Gooch!

Seconded.

Very good ability ON THE BALL which the USMNT needs, especially against top sides.

I was very impressed by him tonight.

I told you all he should have started but no... He's too small, he does not have a defensive presence, he holds onto the ball too long, etc.

Take that!!!!

Jones-Torres in the middle!

if it's gonna be a 5 man midfield (probably because of Jr.)
-------Torres-------
Jones-------Bradley

Torres brings a completely different dynamic to the team. Put Torres and Bradley in the middle, Holden/Feilhaber wide right, Landon on the left and Jozy/Dempsey up top.

We didn't look like we wanted to score in the 2nd half until he came in. I was amazed at his presence in the middle of the park. He needs more playing time.

We knew this since we played in Costa Rica. Come on. He IS our number #10. Did you see him today? He always wanted the ball.

Seriously-- I'm trying not to be a fan boy here, but I was watching him the whole time he was on the field, and he hardly hit the ball wrong once. Just a dynamic, confident, fun-to-watch player who makes things happen on the field. And he'll be around for the next 3 world cups. What a great addition to the team.

People who watch him for Pachuca have been saying this for the past year...

Just like the people who watch Charlie @ Hammarby, predicted him being a star.

DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE!!
