Wayne Rooney has a calf injury and has been withdrawn from the England squad.

He will most likely be assessed by the United medical staff and we will see the extent of the injury. Fingers crossed he will be ok!

Agreed. Calf injuries aren't as serious as hamstring and groin injuries are they?

Will Michael Owen be fit? I guess that would be the way to go, if he isn't fit, although I would like to see both Machaeda and Wellback on the bench.

Dont know, they said that the injury wasnt serious, we may see Welbeck playing or Macheda but it would be unlikely.

When will we know about Rooney's injury? Surely shouldn't be long.

Wasn't Obe Tan Groinobe supposed to make a Senior Cup appearance tonight?

And Jonny Evans out of Northern Ireland team due to ankle injury . Surgery imminent?
