Honduras v USA Viewing info
USA VS. HONDURAS WORLD CUP SOCCER QUALIFIER
VIEWING PARTY TO BE HELD AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10
Hosted by Soccer Legend Shep Messing
New York, NY, October 1, 2009 – For the first time in its history, Madison Square Garden will host a World Cup Soccer Qualifier viewing party, it was announced today. Madison Square Garden and Integrated Sports Media have partnered to bring a unique World Cup Soccer viewing party to New York City for the USA vs. Honduras match on Saturday, October 10. Soccer fans can watch the closed-circuit game coverage on more than 30 TVs, including a 105” plasma screen in the Play By Play Sports Bar and Restaurant, beginning at 9:00 pm.
"We are thrilled to bring the excitement of World Cup Soccer to New York City with our first ever viewing party at Madison Square Garden," said Joel Fisher, executive vice president, Madison Square Garden Sports Properties. "This game is only available on closed-circuit TV and Madison Square Garden will be one of only a few places in New York City where fans can gather to watch this crucial game."
“Integrated Sports Media is excited to be able to make the match available to U.S. National team fans at Madison Square Garden, a legendary and iconic venue which has hosted so many historical events,” said Integrated Sports Media President, Doug Jacobs.
Tickets for the USA vs. Honduras viewing party go on sale on Friday, October 2 at noon and will be priced at $20.00. Tickets can be purchased at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or online at www.thegarden.com.
The United States, which has yet to clinch a spot in next year’s World Cup in South Africa, currently leads Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) qualifying with 16 points. Honduras is currently in third place in the competition with 13 points. The top three teams will qualify and the fourth team will face the fifth place South American team in a two-leg playoff. With a victory on October 10, Team USA would clinch a World Cup spot.
The critical USA vs. Honduras World Cup Qualifier will NOT be available on any broadcast television or residential Pay-Per-View and can only be seen via closed-circuit television.
Fans in attendance will also gain access to a special autograph session featuring viewing party host and legendary soccer player, Shep Messing, who currently serves as MSG’s soccer analyst for all New York Red Bulls telecasts on MSG.
USA vs. Honduras Viewing Party Schedule:
9:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. ET – Doors open/Autograph session
9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. EST – Pre-Game Broadcast

I'm not paying for this game. Period. I don't care if that means I don't see it.

I was thinking the same thing but I don't want to miss the USA pulling the upset and qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. So I will be seeing the game at a restaurant near my office in New Brunswick and cheering the boys on surrounded by a bunch of Catrachos! It is only $5. Anyone want to join me?
Oh and those that think the game will be on-line... Justin.tv will crash before the game begins....
I know it sucks that capitalist pigs want to profit from this but I've been whored many times before over the last 30 years in my quest to see the beautiful game played by my US team...

Re: Honduras v USA Viewing info
It's in our long-term interests to NOT support PPV events.
I live and breathe team USA, but I'm fine with spending those 2 hours watching Simpsons reruns or spending time with my girlfriend. Or I'll spend 20 bucks on beer and get wasted while watching matchtracker and listening to music.

Question: are PPV closed-circuit feeds streamed on the internet? Just asking...because for those looking to get the internet feed, what TV feed will you be jacking? Most of the time internet feeds are pirated ESPN, FSC or foreign broadcasts. Where's the source for this game?
I have never watched a PPV closed circuit event of any kind on internet streams. Any input from people that have?
