Pablo Ricchetti available soon
Ricchetti has apparently asked to be traded or let go at the end of the season following a talk with FC Dallas head coach. Apparently at the heart of the matter is a longer contract and the Drew Moore trade where Ricchetti expressed his discontent for the lack of respect shown to a young man that left everything for FC Dallas… He seems to have been dropped from the first team….
The news can be seen in MLS N and A section on todays news. Pablo could be a decent pick up for any MLS team. The Ricchetti situation makes me sad.. Looks like as a captain he stood up after Drew Moore was traded and let his feelings out… He would be a good pick up for another MLS team, but as stated he wants a long term deal…

Re: Pablo Ricchetti available soon
Considering that he's played part of the season out of position, then sticks up for his teammates and is looking for a long-term deal...I don't see where FC Dallas has any reason to do such a thing. I can only assume this is SH trying to craft the team as he sees fit, but I don't see how losing the services of someone like Richetti can benefit the team. Hopefully another MLS team will pounce on him before he signs elsewhere...

Re: Pablo Ricchetti available soon
If Clark leaves Houston, Ricchetti would be a perfect fit there.
DC another team to be organize in defensive way, needs destroy more of other team's tempo.
Dallas seems to have too many ballwinners, holding types or centrel midfielders.

Re: Pablo Ricchetti available soon
Houston is probably the best fit in 2010. Possibly also RSL, because there isn't a whole lot of defensive presence in their midfield. Also, if Beckham buys out his contract and goes to Milan, then LA is a possibility as Kovalenko has been injured a lot and Miglioranzi may be the weakest starting DM in the league. The other teams all either have established DMs, or have recently signed international players for the role.
Of course, we also have Philly joining the league, and they might take someone's starting defensive mid or might be looking to sign Ricchetti themselves.

Re: Pablo Ricchetti available soon
He's welcome to go.
FCD is the top scoring team in the league and is sitting 13th out of 15. Why? Because they're the second-worst defense in the league. They have coughed up more leads and more goals after the 75th minute than any team I have previously had the pleasure of being a fan of.
And as the leader of that ridiculously bad defense, he's out of his goddamned mind if he thinks that I'm interested in his bitching about his unhappiness. When you're 13th out of 15 teams in the league, there must be recriminations, and Pablo Ricchetti is hardly above them.

Re: Pablo Ricchetti available soon
Like if the guy has no right to be unhappy as captain....
As a captain he expressed what he felt was wrong with the team and where he best plays. And as a college coach SH did what any dad does to a misbehaving kid he punishes him.. Forgetting Pablo is a 32 year old family man and 12 year professional....
