CCC R7: Blackpool vs. Newcastle United, 16 Sep [R]
So we head to Blackpool tomorrow without Alan Smith (suspension), but good news comes in that Andy Carroll is apparently fit for the match. I'd hope he slots in at striker with Ranger and then Nolan goes back into the midfield to replace Smith. Keep Butt as far away from the pitch as possible.
Discuss away.

Newcastle needs another victory to once again return to the top of the table. I think the midfield will miss smith, can't believe I just wrote that, but they will still grind out another victory.

I'm looking forward to this one. I am predicting a win tonight. A win is a win I don't care how the team gets it. Grind it out or win it by 5.
If anyone has a radio link for this game it would be much appreciated.

Will be keeping my eye out for the radio link on ustream and will post it as it comes up. It's nice to have another option up top tonight and we will hopefully see how Andy and Nile pair up but I think it will be the same lineup that Chris has thrown out there the last few matches.
This is the type of match you'd like Alan to feature in, since it could get scrappy and we might just need that inspiration. Alas.
Steve Harper will match the club record of 6 straight clean sheets if we keep them from scoring tonight. 6 straight clean sheets. 6 straight clean sheets. Boy that never gets old.
I had a dream we tied last night, but I really think we will get a win. 2-0 to the good boys in black and white.
Howay the lads!

Yeah, I'm waiting on that even if I can't find a stream. Bought myself a nice TV and DVRing the important matches today. Nothing is out there as far as this match goes, but I guess the interest in it isn't that high.
Apparently Harper has been forced into one nice save already.
