Re: Chester Looks Like A Good Bet (Daily News 9/14)
Great find, Z010. I hope that the economic development going on in the city is another nail in the coffin of naysayers that keep saying no one will come to Chester. If all the development goes as planned, I'm really looking foreward to see what it will look like in 2020 or even 2050.

Re: Chester Looks Like A Good Bet (Daily News 9/14)
Those new houses in Chester that the article said are going for $92,500? The Sons of Ben should buy one of them and use it for tailgating, viewing parties and all around hanging out.
Seriously, the mortgage for that would be something that a group with the membership numbers of SoB could easily afford and you're gonna want a place to hang out and watch games anyway, might as well be a place you guys own.

a SoB clubhouse in Chester is a good idea if for no other reason than I'd like a place to crash after night games instead of trucking it over an hour back to Lancaster....

Any city zoning issues aside from a club house in a residential area, I would rather an affordable property go to a family that is willing to stay in Chester and rebuild the image and reputation of the city. That is where the real changes will come from.

Agreed, but there's no shortage of vacant affordable properties in Chester, so there should be room for families & my pipe dream for a club house

As soon as I get a visit from the "I've got a $hitload of cash" fairy. Would have to drop most of the BBQ however, Chester already has a killer BBQ joint.
