MLS WPL Week #27

Wow. Just when you think you've figured out WPL 2009, everything goes spinning out of control.
Amazingly, someone actually had a sensational week this week, and that someone is nlsanand.
His Weekly Cup performance had such hits as calling the KC road win in New York and going big on the Seattle win at DC. He also had the good sense to bet only 89 on the Galaxy.
Good for a 5 spot leap to #18 just a couple hundred points out of D1.
PCrsl wakes up just in time to turn in a tidy 2nd place finish and Play of the Week. It's not often you can win Play of the Week while effectively betting 50 on the losing team, but that's what happens when a ton of moneyballs go down in flames.
Former Champ Revolt grabs third thanks to betting 79 on road Seattle and teeing off on Chivas and Toronto at home. That made up for fumbles at LA and NY. Good enough to crack the top 10 up 3.
vividox pulls down 4th and wins D1 promotion thanks to going big on Toronto and Chivas, and DC early, while showing restraint in New York, Salt Lake, and DC late.
Former Champ #2 IASocFan powers into 8th with a micro roll in New York, and a big score in the Chivas blowout.
The race at the top tightens significantly as the two front-runners stumble. It's still tab5g's race to lose, but now 5 players are bunched within 200 points of 2nd, and the top 10 has been scrambled again.

Yes, it says a lot about how many points were lost on LA that PCrsl could gain more ground on everyone by merely not betting on the game* than others gained by correctly calling upsets.
