CCC R6: Cardiff City v. Newcastle United, Sunday, 13 Sept. [R]
Kickoff is just after 1400 local time, or 9 AM on the east coast, 6 AM on the west coast and 4 AM in Homer, Alaska (this one's for you, John Seibel!).
Looks like we'll be without Andy Carroll this week, and we already knew we were going to be without Shola. With Xisco off to Spain again that leaves us with Ranger and Lovenkrands as the front men, possible. We could have Nolan pushed up like we did against Leicester as well. No clue.
Discuss here. Another three points would be great but I don't think I would complain about a draw.

Re: CCC R6: Cardiff City v. Newcastle United, Sunday, 13 Sept. [R]
We're going to have to watch out for Chopra, curse of the ex-player and all that, hopefully we have Steven Taylor marking him and not Colo. This is probably going to be our toughest game since WBA on the first day. They have got a 100% record at home.
Not sure if McLoven will be fit to start since he hasn't had a pre-season, could be a case of needs must though. I've got confidence in Ranger though if he can put in a performance like his debut. I'm a bit worried of coming back after an international break having lost the momentum we had going. Not to mention the usual curse of the Manager of the month award (if its ever actually confirmed as Hughton's).
But beyond the jinxes, Howay the lads, lets keep the run going.

Holy shit, Colo the Clown does something right. Heads in a Ryan Taylor cross to give us a deserved lead after 18 minutes.

Re: CCC R6: Cardiff City v. Newcastle United, Sunday, 13 Sept. [R]
40th minute
Cardiff has been looking good for the last 10 minutes - several corners and a couple of chances from free kicks.
Newcastle - not much in the way of possession or coordinated attacks.
Cardiff pressing for an equalizer.

We'll have to switch something up tactically at half, they're on the verge of equalizing.
