Default US-El Sal, the midfield (r)

Bradley was OK. Feilhaber was good. Holden was good. Donovan had 2 assists, was dangerous, and Dempsey had a goal. Good work.

I didn't particularly care for Feilhaber in this match. I don't think he did enough. Bradley was simply OK as well. Donovan was very good, and Dempsey found himself in good spots, but finished 1 of about 5 great chances. Not terrible, but both Feilhaber and Bradley got worse throughout the game.

Donovan was legend, what offense we had flowed through him.

Dempsey, again, got the goal but he should have buried 2 more sitters.

Jozy with a well taken goal, not his best game but the kid gets goals thats what matters.

Bradley was ok the first half, second half dipped bad.

Feilhaber was okay

Stu Holden needs to get alot more playing time

Beckerman is nowhere near our A team, why did he play? just for a "hey i play for RSL" moment??

Gringo Torres, we must....see....more. Very close to burying that one in the dying seconds

Too many easy giveaways from Bradley and Benny.

Donovan had his usual great runs, Dempsey should have had one or two goals, but he wasn't awful.

Agreed. Here's hoping for a Benny/Jones pairing come WC2010.

The problem in the MF was the poor communication/coordination between Benny & Junior. I suppose it's to be expected given that it's a fairly new pairing. Beyond that I thought that Junior looked a step slow. Benny wasn't bad, he just never really put his imprint on the game the way that LD, for example, did. Deuce was OK, but again, beyond the goal (boy, what a botched offside trap that was) he didn't do much. Holden's energy & crosses were encouraging to see, and I hope Gringo gets more minutes.

Midfield...

Donovan was excellent as usual.

Dempsey played pretty well but should have scored at least 2. Needs to improve his fitness as well.

Feilhaber was ok I suppose...didn't hurt or help really.

Bradley was poor. He played no defense and gave away some balls in the back that you cannot give away.

Holden was good. Made some good runs and got back on defense well.

I wouldn't say excellent. He was relatively mistake-free, but could have been more proactive going forward. As I posted earlier, the problem was communication between him & Junior. Hopefully, that will get corrected with more practice time.
