A lot of those figures are wrong..in fact I wouldn't be surprised if most were not wrong. The samp chairman commented on it being incorrect...I can also point out three from the top of my head ...Del Piero and Trezeguet have cut their salary to 3.5 million and Grosso only gets 1.2 million. And these are only some of the wages I recognise.

There might be some differences, but I think on the whole those figures are close to reality.

For example when Villarreal looked at Trezegol this summer, it was reported in Spain he makes net income of 4-4.5m Euros.......and that they couldn't afford his wages. (Juve were trying to off load him to Villarreal in exchange deal)

Grosso was making gross income of approx 3.8m Euros/season with Lyon and had 2 yrs left on his agreement, so approx 2m euros net for him is not that off.

Anyway, smaller clubs always say they are not paying that kind of money, etc...

I would take ANY publications of player wages with doubts, because at least as far as I know they are NEVER officially published for privacy reasons. So, unless Gazetta claims otherwise, I'd guess some are told "off the records" by some club official or maybe a secretary, and most are probably pure guesswork. And I'm not sure they could say themselves if they always excluded taxes, always included taxes or did it sometimes with and sometimes without

What are you talking about, most club when they sign or extend a player releases a press release that clearly states how much the player is being paid. Most of them even put the PDF of the press release on their website. To highlight my point:

http://bo.asroma.it/UserFiles/966.pdf

This is a press release from AS Roma that states the contract extension of Alberto Aquilani and exactly how much he will be paid.

This is of course old, but since we haven't bought anyone this summer it was the only press release I could find on the site to prove my point. You can edit those number (966.pdf) and go forward or back and look through the press releases. You will find that whenever a player is signed they specify the exact amount the player will be receiving before taxes.

I'm willing to bet you could do the same on many clubs websites.

No Trezeguet cut his wages 2 years ago to 3.5 million...as did Del Piero this summer...a 1.5 million difference is quite a big difference. Also Grosso makes 1.2 million at Juve and this is a fact...nearly 50% diff...I don't think that counts as an approximation.

Yep.... you are 100% correct........
It's not a big secret, everytime a player signs , Gazzetta, his agent and /or Club states his Net income per season.
And I know from reading Spainish dailys, they talk about it openly and so does the Bristish Media.......
Not a big secret as people claim..
