Default Review of our summer transfers

Now that the summer transfer period is over we can go back and review weather ti was good or a bad one.

For me this was an excellent summer. We bought many exciting players and were able to get rid of many others that we did not need some of them. We bought

Go ahead, have your choice and comments:

1. Excellent summer. We bought Kaka, CR, Benzema, and Alonso among others. Players we have long dreamed to have in our team. We made good money out of Saviola, Javi Garcia, Negredo, and other players. We understand we should have kept one of Sneijder or Robben, espacially Robben, but it is not possible to keep such class players on the bench without them causing a rift. We wanted VDV gone to, but we still are happy to have her ( here.

2. Very good summer. I am happy we brought so many world class players but I wanted us to keep Robben too.

3. So so. We brought good players but we still miss a left back. Robben left. Raul is still starting and we did not get Ribery.

4. Bad. We spent too much money on CR and Kaka. Benzema is not proven and will take playing time from Higuain. Pellegrini has no say on the team. I wanted Robben and Sneijder to stay.

5. Disastrous. OK, I admit I am just a troll or a cule fan and I envy you. Or I could be Demogorgon

I think this transfer period was near perfect.

It would have been nice to keep Robben, and also have a new LB.

Robben CHOSE to leave. There was nothing the club could do, unless we pulled a Manchester United and forced him to stay.

I was just saying it would be nice to still have him around.

Easy tiger...

I'll go with very good.

Never a big Ronaldo fan, but I admire his talent and hope he becomes a RM legend.

Love me some Kaka.

Granero, very glad he's being given a real chance, so far he looks eager to make the most of it.

Xabi, still think he's been a bit overrated but if calms down our midfield, a directs play while maintaining some defensive balance, all good to me.

Albiol, I like the price but never really thought much of the player, Valencia's defense always seemed in shambles, hope he doesn't bring any of that junk this way.

Arbeloa, good price and a youth teamer comes back...so far I like him.

Benzema, like his talent and hope he becomes more direct in his time here. Shoot away my man, shoot away.

Garay, looks alright but seems short in confidence. Lets see how he continues to progress.

I do hate losing Robben, liked Sneijder but understand he wasn't necessary, and really haven't shed any tears about anyone else that left.
I'm curious to see if VDV actually gets any runtime, after my defense of him last season (which took it all outta me, let me say) I really hope he plays well whenever he gets a chance.

Would've liked to loan Drenthe and get a more experienced LB, but other than that I can't complain too much about our depth.

All in all, a very productive and entertaining summer.

Great summer with the incomming transfers, we finally got some world class players.

The outgoing transfers... I don't mind Robben and Sneijder's departure. One of either Sneijder/VDV is enough to preforme the supersub role.

2 things I DO mind, is our LB, unless Marcelo can prove himself there. And the fact that we sold Negredo!!!! If we get Negredo and Torres back next year (when RVN might go) I'm all in, but for now... Canterano, spanish, fantastic player, and we sold him...

Perfectly said. Except I think Granero is going to be the signing of the season.

It is definitely a good summer(I don't think any Real madrid fans will agrue against it), but we still lack a solid leftback. The leftback was the greatest issue for the entire season last year. It was an issue long before the game vs Liverpool. In fact, it is an issue since Roberto Carlos left. And Perez did not address it this summer. That worried me because that brought back memory of Perez's first term. It was not just about the leftback. It was his way of ignoring certain issues that concerned me. I am not sure whether he is a changed man. At the same time, I still think that Arbeloa might be the leftback solution. So I am not too upset. So I think the summer is good, but not perfect.

And I don't care if Raul still starts. He plays well in the preseason. He won the job from Higuain. It's liked people saying that Raul started because he was Raul, not because of his form. Now, people are saying that he should not start because he was Raul, not because of his form. I admitted that I don't know whether Raul starts because he was Raul or because he got good form. I really hope that he starts because he got good form.
