The 3AW webcast of the Saturday afternoon match commentary has now become a staple of my Friday nights. Yes, this means I'm a Yank with no life, but anyway ...
I somehow figure out most of the references, but there's one that has me stumped. When a team reaches 77, or perhaps it is 11.11 77, they stop and shout, "Looooord Nelson!"
Why? I know who Lord Nelson is, but I can't get the connection. Is it totally random?

Thanks in advance.
We think it is to do with the flag signal given out when Nelson was fatally injured on the deck of his boat the Victory.
In the last Ashes Cricket series just finished in England when the Aussies were on 111 runs for a while the Nelson reference was mentioned.
